Ignion presents the latest antenna technology for Wi-Fi in the Wi-Fi World
The number of Wi-Fi connected devices and bandwidth consumption continues to skyrocket. This is pressuring manufacturers to rapidly bring to market new devices that are not only feature-rich but at a lower cost and before the competition. At the same time, the Wi-Fi community is producing standards, such as Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7, that incorporate new spectrums, improved signaling efficiency, lower latency, and reduced power consumption, along with many other objectives. It’s time to look at the antenna technology with a new lens as well. After all, a connected device is only as good as its connectivity.
Antennas play a crucial role in RF and, at times, are taken for granted. While a consumer might mistakenly associate an antenna with signal strength. Antennas are crucial to RF performance and poor RF performance will impact everything from the battery life of a consumer device to the overall performance of an access point serving many devices.
At the Wi-Fi World Congress, Dan Klaeren, Ignion’s General Manager in America, shared with the audience how the innovative Virtual Antenna™ technology could help the designer deliver the next Wi-Fi device design faster, easier and with a competitive advantage built-in regardless of the size, communication standard or configuration.
