The new Lock Bolt allows users to unlock doors in less than a second using a fingerprint scanner. The Lock Bolt can be programmed to work with up to 50 authorized fingerprints, but users have the option to use a code to unlock the door as well. With Wyze Lock Bolt’s anti-peep technology, people don’t have to worry whether someone has watched them enter their code; users can add extra numbers before or after their code and the Lock Bolt will still unlock.
Silicon Labs supplies secure, low-power edge processing capability
Wyze Lock Bolt smart door lock uses Silicon Labs’ EFR32MG21, a 2.4GHz Wireless SoC optimized for Zigbee applications, which features an integrated security subsystem and is designed to increase processing capability, improve RF performance, and lower active current. This increased processing capability is ideal for the Lock Bolt since its data is processed at the edge rather than sent to the cloud.
Lockin enables secure, high-speed data recognition
Wyze Lock Bolt is secured with Lockin’s advanced security technology, which specializes in cutting-edge smart lock capabilities. Lockin incorporates standout data security performance and biometric technology with self-learning ability, so the Lock Bolt can achieve a fingerprint recognition speed of 0.5 seconds. The Lock Bolt is an industry leader in safety performance thanks to Lockin’s stable and reliable wireless communication, accurate, low-noise motor control technology, and full communication link data encryption technology.
Advanced security at the door with edge processing
It’s critical that smart door lock devices use advanced security technology to effectively secure homes. Wyze Lock Bolt is not connected to the cloud, and instead processes data on the hardware itself, which eliminates the possibility of data breaches as information is sent to and from the cloud. Hardware encryption is built into the Lock Bolt, meaning hackers would be unable to access or figure out codes or fingerprint data. Silicon Labs’ Zigbee SoC technology helps power this increased security processing capability at the edge.
Mobile technology enhances security, ease of use
As mobile technology is increasingly integrated into our daily lives, it also enhances the security of our smart home devices. Two-factor authentication within the Wyze mobile app ensures that only authorized users can use the smart lock. The Lock Bolt also includes an auto-lock timer, giving users peace of mind. Users can set an auto-lock timer in their Wyze app, and after that time has passed, Wyze Lock Bolt will automatically lock the door. With Bluetooth connection, app users can also access the history of who has locked and unlocked the door, create and store access codes for frequent users and guests, and set access schedules to only allow access to certain users at certain times.
