When I plug in my EFM32 STK to the host it shows up as a Mass Storage Device (MSD) and I can see it in File Manager.Why is it showing up that way?

- The EFM32 STKs are ARM mbed compliant.Since the online mbed IDE does not have any debug capability, the method mbed uses to program the flash of the target MCU is through the use of the USB mass storage class.When a compatible programming file is copied to the enumerated drive, such as STK3800 for the Wonder Gecko, the board will automatically program the MCU flash, issue a reset to the device, and execute the new code.
