●The FT232BM is a USB to serial UART interface with the following advanced features:
■Single chip USB to asynchronous serialdata transfer interface.
■Full Handshaking & Modem InterfaceSignals
■Adjustable RX buffer timeout
■Fully Assisted Hardware or X-On / X-OffHandshaking
■In-built support for event characters andline break condition
■Auto Transmit Buffer control for RS485
■Support for USB Suspend / Resumethrough SLEEP# and RI# pins
■Support for high power USB Buspowered devices through PWREN# pin
■Data transfer rates from 300 baud to 3Mbaud (RS422, RS485, and RS232) atTTL levels.
■384 byte receive buffer and 128 bytetransmit buffer utilising buffersmoothing technology to allow for highdata throughput.
■UART interface support for 7 or 8 data bits, 1 or 2 stopbits and odd / even / mark / space / no parity
■Integrated level converter on UART and control signals forinterfacing to 5V and 3.3V logic
■Integrated 3.3V regulator for USB IO
■Integrated Power-On-Reset circuit
■Integrated 6MHz - 48Mhz clock multiplier PLL
■4.35V to 5.25V single supply operation
■UHCI / OHCI / EHCI host controller compatible
■USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 compatible
■USB VID, PID, Serial Number and Product Descriptionstrings in external EEPROM
■EEPROM programmable on-board via USB
■Compact 32-pin LQFP package
