XD74LS160, XD74LS161, XD74LS163 - SYNCHRONOUS 4-BIT COUNTERS

These synchronous, preset counters have an internal carry-look-ahead feature and are suitable for high-speed counting designs. XD74LS160 and XD74LS161 are decimal counters, while XD74LS163 is a 4-bit binary counter. They provide synchronous operation, with all flip-flops triggered at the same clock, and output changes are consistent with each other. These counters are fully programmable, and the outputs can be preset to any level. The preset is synchronous, and setting a low level at the load input disables the counter and causes the outputs to match the set data on the next clock pulse. The carry-look-ahead circuit allows cascading counters for n-bit synchronous applications without the need for additional gate circuits. These counters have a fully independent clock circuit, and changes in the control inputs (enable P or T, or load) do not affect the clock before they occur.
