The Temposonics® R-Series V RH5 EtherCAT® is an absolute, linear position sensor designed for harsh environments with high shock and vibration. It utilizes the company's proprietary magnetostrictive technology to provide precise and robust position measurement. The sensor supports EtherCAT® specifications, including distributed clock, enabling synchronized communication with a minimum cycle time of 100 µs. It offers simultaneous position, velocity, and acceleration measurement for up to 30 magnets. The R-Series V sensors come with internal linearization for improved accuracy. Additional features include diagnostic data about the sensor status, such as total distance traveled, internal temperature, and total operating hours.
