IDMsm is a smart drive module (IDM) series EtherCAT® DS402 drive designed to meet the needs of OEMs using EtherCAT control systems for high precision motion platforms. It can be controlled by any EtherCAT host and its unique multi-processor architecture utilizes powerful control algorithms to maximize the performance of motion systems, while its general servo drive technology allows system designers to easily control most types of motors and platforms. The drive features advanced servo control algorithms, multi-threaded program execution, general motor support, and provides a standard DS402 (CiA402) CANOpen over EtherCAT interface.
