Ultra High Isolation 802.11a OFDM Amplifier 5.8GHz 0.5W (Rev. A)

2025-03-18
This document describes an ultra high isolation amplifier designed for 802.11a OFDM applications operating at 5.8GHz with a power output of 0.5W. The amplifier is intended to eliminate excessive interference caused by overuse of ISM channels and improve link quality. It features a high out-of-band rejection of more than 60 dB @ fc +/- 620 MHz, making it suitable for ideal, high-speed, long-range communication systems. It is fully compatible with 802.11a OFDM radios like the Teletronics TT5800 series and can be integrated into any 5.8GHz system. The amplifier offers a transmit gain of 13 dB and a frequency response of +/- 1 dB. It has a typical receiver gain of 15 dB and noise figure of 3.5 dB. The operating range is 5725 - 5875 MHz, and it operates in a bi-directional, TDD mode. It is equipped with SMA-type connectors and provides DC surge protection of 600 Watts TVS @ 5.5 VDC. The power consumption is 0.8 A @ 5.5 VDC, and it operates within a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C.
