Amphenol Industrial's explosion-proof connector series, Amphe-EX, is ATEX and IECex-approved for Zone 1-rated environments. It is designed for use with copper, coax, and fiber optic contacts in a single product. The series complements Amphenol Star-Line EX connectors and meets IECex 60079 standards. It is suitable for various applications such as chemical manufacturing, land and offshore drill rigs, petrochemical refineries, flour and sugar refining, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and aircraft fueling pods. The connectors feature high-tensile strength aluminum shells, various contact types, and a double-lead Acme threaded coupling system for positive mating. They are also available in different shell sizes and contact arrangements.
