The FITEL® ID-H/R Optical Fiber Identifier is an advanced, compact, and easy-to-operate tool designed for safely and effectively identifying the transmission direction and relative core power on live optical fibers. It is lightweight and handheld, featuring an LCD screen for detection light level, modulation frequency, and signal detection capabilities. The device is applicable to 250 µm fiber, 900 µm fiber, up to 12-fiber ribbon, and 1.6 mm to 3 mm cordage. It is capable of detecting signals on standard SM Fiber (G.652) to BIF (G.657.A2) and optional heads for UBIF (G.657.B3).
