FORTiS-N™ Functional Safety enclosed encoder system Specification

The FORTiS-N FS enclosed encoder system is designed for Functional Safety applications and is certified to ISO 13849 Category 3 PLd, IEC 61508 SIL2, and IEC 61800-5-2 SIL2. It provides safe position data for safety sub-functions such as safe stop, safe operating stop, safe limited acceleration, safe acceleration range, safe limited speed, safe speed range, safely limited position, safely limited increment, safe direction, and safe speed monitor. The system offers various measuring lengths, accuracy grades, resolutions, and serial interfaces like BiSS Safety and Siemens DRIVE-CLiQ. It is suitable for use in harsh environments with protection class III and pollution degree II, and has a wide operating temperature range.
