Engis Corporation is a leader in superabrasive finishing systems, offering two types of conditioning rings for lapping applications: Diamond-Plated Conditioning Rings and Stainless Steel-Backed Ceramic Work Rings. The Diamond-Plated Conditioning Rings are designed for Hyprez HY composite lapping plate maintenance, regenerating surface texture and flatness, and are available for lap plates from 12” up to 42”. The Stainless Steel-Backed Ceramic Work Rings are used to charge diamond particles into the lapping plate and hold parts carriers in position, available in various sizes. Engis also provides complete lapping systems, technical assistance, diamond compounds and slurries, MiniMiser® spray units, Autostirrer, precision flat-lapping and polishing machines, and accessories like Hyprez Parts Carriers and Rubber Pads.
