The BG28 single arm “gooseneck” assemblies are versatile fiber optic light sources designed for applications requiring a single near horizontal incident angle or a downward projected source of high intensity cold illumination. They are paired with LED and 150 watt halogen light sources to provide compact, quiet operation with up to 40,000 ft. candles of illumination. The BG28 series is suitable for very high magnifications and is designed to replace stereo microscope lighting with high intensity cold illumination. The fiber assembly features a large 0.25 inch bundle diameter and is available in a 20” length for maximum placement flexibility. It is used in laboratory environments for various applications such as small animal microsurgery, specimen preparation, and tissue trimming for light and electron microscopy.
