UNI-PATCH® 688 An environmentally sustainable pre-applied thread locker

UNI-PATCH® 688 is a water-based, room temperature curing, microencapsulated thread locker. It can be applied to almost all thread sizes (as small as M0.8), various components. It contains microencapsulated reactive elements suspended in a fast curing resin, which is carried by a water medium. During assembly, the shear force generated by the fastening element being installed onto the mating part breaks the capsule and releases reactive compounds, which solidify into a tough, strong polymer. The resulting matrix quickly bonds the surface together, semi-permanently locking the components. The bonding surface in the thread provides resistance to thermal, vibration, thermal shock, and mechanical shock of the assembled joint. UNI-PATCH® 688 has a consistent torque value, no need for heating or primer for curing.
