The Ahlstrom Disruptor® Nonwoven Filter Media is designed for water purification, utilizing Disruptor® technology to reduce a wide range of submicron particulates, pathogens, trace pharmaceuticals, and cellular debris. It offers low pressure drop and high flow rates compared to conventional mechanical filters. The technology has been shown to reduce pathogens such as E.coli and Legionella. It serves as an effective pre-filter for reverse osmosis membranes, improving permeate production and reducing operating costs. The Disruptor® PAC contains activated carbon, enhancing taste, odor, and clarity by absorbing chlorinated compounds and disinfection by-products. It provides submicron filtration efficiency at higher flow rates and lower pressure.
