The Anybus CompactCom M40 for PROFINET is a communication module designed for high-speed communication on a PROFINET IRT network. It supports fast communication speeds suitable for high-end industrial devices. The module is part of the Anybus CompactCom concept, allowing for easy integration into various industrial networks by simply plugging in another Anybus module. It features a complete, interchangeable communication module with connectors, pre-certified for network compliance, and supports various protocols and features like PROFIenergy, Media Redundency Protocol, Synchronization, and Fast Start Up. The M40 is available in two versions for fiber optics and copper cabling, and it is equipped with the best network processor on the market, the Anybus NP40.
