Tube Axial DUCT FAN
■Propellers shall be statically balanced to assure smooth operation. Propeller shall be spark-resistant cast aluminum or steel as specified. Shafts shall be turned, ground and polished steel (or stainless steel). All fan drums shall be 12 gauge on sizes 12" to 30" and 10 gauge on sizes 34" to 48". Drum flanges shall be rolled as an integral part of the drum on sizes 12" to 42". Drum flanges on 48" fans shall be 1 1⁄2" angle iron rings welded to drum. Drum seam shall be continuously welded.
■BAF models shall have sealed fan bearings. TAF, WAF, HTF and WAF/HTF models shall have grease lubricated, heavy-duty,self-aligning, ball bearings mounted in cast iron pillow-blocks with grease fittings on outside of fan drum for easy maintenance.
■V-Belt drives shall be selected for a minimum of 1.3 times nominal horsepower. Before painting, all steel parts shall be cleaned by detergent wash, phosphatized and painted with oven cured gray enamel.
