URGENT - Last Time Buy (LTB) for CISSOID High temperature Components
2024-10-29
■ For the past 8 years, CISSOID SA has been transitioning to a new business, focused on developing SiC based solutions to support the transition from the conventional internal combustion engine to electrification for both off-road vehicles and conventional EV’s. CISSOID now provides solutions including Software, hardware and complete inverter reference designs.
■ CISSOID had indicated to its Hi-Rel / High Temperature customers that we would continue to support this business for as long as possible. Unfortunately, our ability to provide ongoing support has been removed by our supplier.
■ Our wafer fab foundry X-FAB recently notified us that they will discontinue the XI10 process by March 2025. This process has been running for many years and is now getting replaced by more recent technologies. As you may know, most of the CISSOID High Temperature products, rated up to 175°C or 225°C, are using X-FAB’s XI10 process. This decision is creating a major disruption of our supply chain as there is no equivalent on the market to the XI10 process.
■ In this situation, CISSOID has no choice but to announce the discontinuation of the components made with this technology. CISSOID is announcing a Last Time Buy (LTB) order for those components. This situation concerns the following products :
◆ Complete CHT family (product with ordering reference starting with CHT)
◆ CMT family excluding SiC power modules and SiC gate driver boards
◆ CXT family excluding SiC power modules
