●The Serial Switched Power Module (Serial SPM) enables existing spare serial ports on console servers to be converted into remote power ports. Geographically diverse hardware estates can therefore be effectively remotely managed saving on expensive support personnel and helping to maintain Service Level Agreements.
●Connection is also possible through a GPRS modem for M2M power management.
●Features
■The Serial SPM is designed to be ëalways ONí so that no new ësingle point of failureí will be added to the network. It has a Command Line Interface, programmable timed remote reboot, power down/power up feature to save energy during non peak hours and a current monitoring option. The unit is also Vendor independent and can be password protected. It is designed and built to pan European approval and safety standards with an integral switch mode power supply. 10 amp or 16 amp option. Free standing or 19î Rack mount kits are available.
