ACT 2468 RFI Filter for Alarm Circuit Cables Operating Instructions
●The ACT 2468 RFI Filter is designed to attenuate RFI signals picked up by alarm cables acting as aerials. It snaps apart to make any combination of 2, 4, 6 or 8 wire RFI filters which can be fitted to either or both ends of the alarm circuit cable.
●The powerful 1Amp rated RFI filter can be used to attenuate radio frequency interference on any alarm circuit, DC supply or sounder and are also compatible with most analogue/digital data cables. The RFI filter offers virtually no resistance to conventional DC circuits but substantially attenuates RFI signals between 2.5MHz and 800MHz, making them more cost effective and quicker to install than screened cable.
●Connections
■Troublesome alarm circuit cables should be connected to the INPUT side of the filter with the OUTPUT side connected to the alarm equipment (i.e. Panel, Keypad, LIM, Expander, Detector etc).
