Laird™ product Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Change
●Logo change
■Integration activities include a change from the current Laird logo found on existing SDS to the new Laird logo picture in the top-left corner of this letter (Laird™ A DuPont Business).
■New SDS will follow a different format that may include a change in the supplier contact information found in section 1. You may see a change from multiple Laird contacts to a single contact.
■Although the SDS contact information may change, the manufacturing locations of the products have not changed, unless you have received a separate communication specifically regarding change of manufacturing location.
●Hazard classification change
■Current reviews of all Laird product SDS are ongoing. Harmonization with DuPont hazard classifications could affect historical SDS hazard classifications. If such a change is identified during these internal reviews, additional communication regarding the change will be directly sent to impacted customers.
●Conversion of SDS to Article Information Sheets for materials determined to be articles.
■Although there is normally no legal obligation to provide an SDS for a material determined to be an article, we have historically provided them on a voluntary basis. Integration efforts may introduce a new document called an Article Information Sheet (AIS) to be sent to customers receiving article products. The AIS document may replace the previously distributed SDS documents in some cases. The new document will continue to contain the appropriate level of information on safe use for Laird product articles.
■It’s important to note that while our logo, format, supplier contact information, and hazard classification may change on the SDS, our products have not changed.
■Please note that the above-described changes may begin to occur on January 1, 2024, but not all product SDS will be updated at once. Product SDS will continue to change over the course of 2024 with most changes being completed by the end of 2024.
■Our customers continue to be our first priority as we proceed through this transition.
■Thank you for your ongoing support of Laird products.
