●A valve actuator is a gearing mechanism designed to facilitate the opening and closing of various styles of valves. Operation can be manual or powered. Actuator capacities range from 1/2 ton to 50 tons.

■Advantages
●Ampco 18 is a high-strength aluminum bronze with excellent mechanical properties when fully loaded. Mated to a hardened steel worm, the AMPCO 18 worm gear utilizes these high mechanical properties and the bearing characteristics of a dissimilar metal to provide excellent wear resistance and extended, service-free performance. The consistent superiority of AMPCO 18 alloy over commercial bronze is due, in part, to the unique distribution of alloy microstructure, often referred to as the"Ampco-Phase." Only Ampco alloys offer this metallurgical advantage.
