SATA® vario top spray™

●The SATA vario top spray pump is designed for the application of paints, lacquers, primers and dispersions or similar materials with viscosities of up to 130 seconds at recommended spraying temperature, measured in a 4 mm viscosity cup. Each version of the SATA vario top spray consists of a double diaphragm pump with pressure regulation unit, material fine pressure regulator and material outlet tap. According to the working principle of a double diaphragm pump, two separate air chambers are charged with compressed air in alternating order ensuring that fresh coating material is transported into one ofthe chambers, while the spray gun is supplied from the other chamber in a pulsation-free process. To ensure enhanced life time, the pump must be run on filtered, clean and dry compressed air, e.g. supplied from a SATA filter 444. The material suction tube is equipped with a sieve to protect the valve seats, valve balls and diaphragms. Due to an integrated silencer in the pump control unit, no additional silencer is required. The pump is backpressure actuated, i.e. further coating material is only supplied when pulling the gun trigger releasing material from the gun. For this reason on the other hand, the pump is constantly feeding material even in case of smallest leakages. Therefore, the air line should be shut off during longer downtimes (e.g. during the night), in order to prevent unnecessary wear. It is forbidden to use the pump in explosion hazard areas (zone 0). When being used in zones 1 and 2, the pump must be grounded by means of the flexible grounding cable included in the scope of delivery.
