●Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) are organic substances, such as pesticides and industrial chemicals which can persist in the environment. These substances have the ability to transport themselves by air, water, or migratory species across international borders, reaching regions far from their origins, becoming a risk to our health and the environment. POPs are being regulated at the global level, under the European Chemical Agency legislations with its most recent up to date regulation, (EU) 2019/1021.
●WECO Electrical Connectors, as a supplier of electronical components, has been aware of its responsibilities for protecting the environment and human health. We are keeping track on the updates regarding prohibited substances and restricted substances listed in the POPs Regulation.
●Based on the information we can attest to the best of our knowledge; our products are in compliance with the POPs Regulation and don’t contain substances subject to prohibitions listed in Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2019/1021. We continue to follow up and update ourselves of the POPs regulation and ensure the conformity of our products.
