PY-CIB080-00 PRIMERGY M6 models, High-speed rotation of fan when specific PCI cards are installed in PRIMERGY 2Way M6 CUSTOMER INFORMATION BULLETIN
●High-speed rotation of fan when specific PCI cards are installed in PRIMERGY 2Way M6
■Cause:
●PRIMERGY 2Way M6 reads PCI device information during POST and performs FAN control. If the iRMC firmware (SDR) registration is incomplete and a specific PCI device is installed in the configuration, the iRMC will recognize it as an undefined PCI card. It causes the iRMC FAN control to enter Emergency mode, which results in the system FAN rotating at high speed at all times.
■Solution:
●Update the server iRMC firmware to the latest version as recommended below.
▲RX2530 M6 : 3.37P + SDR3.32
▲RX2540 M6 : 3.37P + SDR3.66
