Pressinformation electronica 2006 High Voltage in Small Size

2023-11-17
●In the expansion of the existing types of High Value and High Voltage resistor series, SRT is presenting at electronica 2006 under the designation HVR25 a leaded resistor, which has a working voltage of 15kV at a length of only 25mm.
●By means of an optimized design for high working voltages, SRT has succeeded in realizing at this length and a width of 9 mm this improved version of High Voltage resistors. Compared with the type HVR30 with 30mm length, the working voltage could be increased by 5kV and the Voltage Coefficient (VCR) reduced by about 50%. Up to 100 Megohms the VCR is now below 1ppm/V, and up to 1Gigaohm the VCR is below 2ppm/V. In the resistance range up to 100Megohms the standard-TCR is 100ppm/K and can be reduced by the production processes to 25ppm/K if required. The closest available tolerance is 0.25% in the range up to 100Megohms and 1% in the range up to 1 Gigaohm.
●The wire-leads of this series consist in flexible copper wires, so they can be adjusted by bending to existing lead-spacings. The resistor elements are protected by a silicon-resin coating against dirt and humidity from the environment. The resistors have an excellent long-term stability, which exceeds the stability of the available measuring equipment in the high-value range.
