●Patented Enhanced Power Hold-up Function with suffix “K”
■The "K" at the end of the product code represents an additional enhanced power hold-up function. The extra BUS pin is an additional power supply of providing a fixed voltage for charging the capacitors. We know that EN 50155 also describes supply voltage interruption and change over. In general, to meet the conditions of S2, S3, and C2, a sufficient number of aluminum electrolytic capacitors are needed to provide enough energy for keeping the module functions. Especially the volume of high voltage capacitors occupy a considerable space, it is also difficult to choose the right ones for limited spec consideration. When the device must be suitable for different system voltages, it is necessary to install different capacitance values and withstand-voltage of those capacitors.
■The function overcomes this problem by using same capacitors, which can be used for different supply voltage and interruption in different systems.
■Therefore we will say the patented enhanced hold-up function is the ideal solution for railway system power board.
■Different from the common way of hold-up capacitors, whether in a 24V system or a 110V system, BUS pin always provides a fixed 21.4V, which can be used as a full-system solution with the 25V rated capacitors, the same capacitance value and the same quantity of capacitors.
