●Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Councilof 18 December 2006 and revised to include 224 substancesas of 10 Jun 2022 largely restructured the manner in which the European Union handles the “Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals” (REACH).
●Many of the resistors developed by Ohmcraft, a division of Exxelia Micropen, are purchased for inclusion as components in devices affected by this regulation. Therefore, Exxelia Micropen has implemented specific procedures to ensure that products to which REACH applies conform to REACH regulations. This is accomplished by a requirement for the suppliers of materials incorporated into the resistors produced by Ohmcraft to provide documentation of the presence (or lack thereof) of REACH Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) and substances “Restricted” by REACH regulations (those found in Annex XVII of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006). Please note that Ohmcraft does not verify this documentation through independent analytical testing.
●Ohmcraft resistors are considered “Articles” by REACH. Furthermore, there isno intended release of any substance or preparation from any Ohmcraft resistor. Therefore, by REACH regulations, there are no requirements for registration associated with Ohmcraft resistors.
●To the best of our knowledge, based on information provided by thesuppliers of the raw materials used in the Ohmcraft production process, and, in certain cases, based on the material safety data sheets corresponding to the raw materials used in the Ohmcraft production process, which may include incomplete substance content information as a means of protect in proprietary information, all resistors currently produced by Ohmcraft do not contain any SVHC at a concentration of greater than .1% by weight in the overall resistor, and do not violate any of the Restriction slisted in Annex XVII of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (they do not contain any substance Restricted by a Restriction applicable to resistor products).
