Sitting atop the equator approximately 1,000 kilometers west of Ecuador are the Galapagos Islands, an archipelago of about 120 islands. In a land of one-of-a-kind species, this elevator is remarkable because it is the first ever installed on the Galapagos Islands. Because of the remote location, the hotel was concerned about reliability, maintenanee and safety. Mitsubishi Electric has promised periodic maintenance by technical staff dispatched from the mainland and emergency support service that puts staff on site within 24 hours of a call, confirming its commitment to provide total service and support. Today, in the Galapagos Islands, Mitsubishi Electric elevators are again moving curious minds in a land of infinite wonders.
