▲Introduction:
●The non-expandable FX-Series (fixed) CPU models have built in I/O. Non-expandable means that you cannot increase the number of I/O points on the unit by adding I/O expansion modules.
●These units are CE and UL Certified. The FX-Series models are designed for applications in which a limited amount of I/O is required. They require little space and have a built-in processor with memory that can be used to run native ladder logic or IEC61131-3 programming.
●The EX-Series (expandable) CPU models have built in I/O points similar to the fixed FX-Series models, but if more I/O is needed, up to sixteen I/O expansion (MLE) modules can be added at any time. As with the models listed above, the EX-Series models have a built-in processor and memory that is capable of running native ladder logic or IEC61131-3 programming. These units are also CE and UL Certified.
●The EX-Series MLE expansion I/O modules can be added to any of the EX-Series CPU models listed above. These modules provide digital and/or analog I/O (inputs and outputs) for an electrical control system. All of the I/O Modules are CE and UL Certified.
