Modbus Server Troubleshooting Basic Information Requirements

◆We would like to get some information to understand your environment.In most cases the following information will guide us to where the issue is.
●What kind of Modbus Master(s) or “Client(s)” (PLC, OPC server, SCADA, application, etc) will you be using to collect the data?
●Do the Modbus Master(s) all communicate via Modbus/RTU over Ethernet TCP/IP? (This is not the same as Modbus/TCP.)
●Do the Modbus Slave devices all communicate via serial Modbus/RTU?
●What type of Slave Devices are you using and how many will you be collecting data from?
●Is the issue with a particular serial port or Slave Device?
●What version of Modbus Server firmware is installed in the DeviceMaster? See PortVision DX for this information, or open the web page of the DeviceMaster.
●What are the IP address(s) of the Modbus Master(s)?
●What is the IP address of the DeviceMaster?
●Please send the DeviceMaster Configuration File.
