DO57 REV B Product Design Change Product Change Notification (001464-042956)
●Description of the Change: In an effort to make our product line more compatible with regulatory and environmental guidelines, we are changing the volume manufacturing process for our products to make them RoHS compliant according to Aavid Thermalloy specification RoHS 9000.
■The current version of this product is finished with a solderable tin-lead coating. The RoHS compliant version will have a 100% matte tin finish per ASTM B545 with a nickel under-plate barrier of 1.9 to 3.8 um. Product built using this new finish process is identified with a "G" suffix at the end of the part number as shown above in Products Affected.
■The current version of this product has a straight pin that is inserted into the pc board. The new version has a bent leg which is now being recommended by Intel for improved strength in heatsink mounting.
