NXP EasyEVSE EV Charging Station Development Platform User Manual

2022-07-27
●Introduction
■The NXP EasyEVSE is a simulated electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) development platform based on the Microsoft ® Azure RTOS and IoT cloud services.
■The purpose of the platform is to enable engineers to develop an EVSE with a mutually authenticated connection with the Microsoft Azure IoT Central. Once connected, developers can exchange telemetry and commands with the cloud. The platform also introduces the basic functionality of JAE 1772 to manage state and the low-level signaling to the vehicle.
■The platform meets the requirements for EV chargers and provides:
▲Accurate power delivery measurement.
▲Increased security and safety at the edge, with pre-certification of software.
▲Cloud on-boarding, with simplified provisioning and remote management.
▲Product availability and reliability, with great product longevity up to 10 or 15 years and operating life ranging 10 to 20 years.
■EasyEVSE hardware consists of four evaluation boards, the i.MX RT106x EVK (Smart Host Controller), TWR-KM3x (Meter), OM-SE050ARD (Security), CLEV6630ARD (NFC), and an LCD panel.
■This document describes the functionality and development process of each EasyEVSE building block with a dedicated chapter. For example, it provides the customers a starting point to develop their full featured EV charger by including their own power delivery circuitry.
■To facilitate the startup process with this platform, it is advised to read and follow the EV Charging Station Development Platform User Guide. The user guide provides detailed instructions to get the EasyEVSE up and running.
