QNAP TS-670 Another Turbo - Charged NAS product introduction

2022-06-13
●QNAP’s TS-670 Turbo NAS is expandable, easy to setup and packed with features. Just what any office needs.
●Many industry experts would say that network attached storages are a poor man’s storage server. Considering how advanced these devices have become, we have to say that this couldn’t be any further away from the truth. To illustrate our point further, allow us to introduce to you QNAP’s own TS-670 Turbo NAS system.
●The TS-670 looks like a compact network storage system, but it is in fact a full-fledged one with a wide variety of features. It is powered by a 2.6GHz processor and 2GB of DDR3 RAM, which can be upgraded all the way to 16GB if you so desire. It also features six HDD bays, which is capable of supporting up to 24TB of storage space with no problems.
●The TS-670 is also generous when it comes to ports, as it has four Gigabit RJ-45 Ethernet ports, two of which can be swapped with an optional 10GbE NIC, two USB3.0 ports, three USB 2.0 ports, two eSATA ports and a HDMI port.
●There is also an LCD panel in front that shows a variety of details about the NAS, including IP address, storage details and more. Definitely useful for a quick glance of your storage system’s details.
●Performance-wise, much like any other NAS system, the performance is highly dependant on both the drives and network that it is connected to. Our review unit came with two Western Digital Black 4TB drives, and connected to our network, we managed to get an impressive 20-30MBps transfer rate of 1GB and 10GB files over Wi-Fi. As it is rated to get up to about 450MBps speeds on corporate networks, we’re sure that when connected to a much more comprehensive network, the transfer speeds can only go faster.
●The most impressive bit about the TS-670 however is the fact that it is a modular NAS, and can be attached to RAID Expansion Enclosures to support up to a whopping 38 hard drives. Being an enterprise NAS system, the TS-670 also supports a wide variety of apps and software such as the ones from VMWare, Citrix, Microsoft Hyper-V and many more. On top of that, it also has top-of-the-line data backup and disaster recovery solutions that ensures your data is secure all the time.
