Studio 5000 software
■The edition you select for Studio 5000 will contain the matching edition for the Studio 5000 Logix Designer® application.
■The support and functionality of your controller will determine the edition you need for Logix Designer, and therefore Studio 5000.
■Logix Designer licenses are concurrent and entitle the user to activations for the most recent version at the time of purchase, as well as back to version 20.05 by default. If you need to use versions after V20.05 as well as before, legacy editions are available that activate Logix Designer and RSLogix 5000 before and after version 20.05. A Legacy license would be selected instead of a current license. New version releases after purchase are available to license owners who are under Rockwell Automation Software Support coverage.
■Editions scale in controller family support as well as software content and programming functionality.
■Editions are designed to use the highest functionality first. Meaning, if Lite, Standard, and Professional licenses are available on the FactoryTalk® Activation server, Studio 5000 will select the Professional edition.
