SPI protocol used in the STM32 bootloader

2022-05-16
This application note describes the SPI protocol used in the STM32 microcontroller bootloader, detailing each supported command.
The bootloader for STM32 microcontrollers, based on Arm®(a) core(s), is an SPI slave. For all SPI bootloader operations, the NSS pin (chip select) must be low. If the NSS pin is high the communication on the SPI bus is ignored by the STM32 slave.
