How to Enable HyperRAM with i.MX RT
■The i.MX RT series MCU is a crossover product from NXP. It includes a FlexibleSerial Peripheral Interface (FlexSPI) controller which supports HyperBus devices (HyperFlash/HyperRAM). This application note describes how to use the HyperRAM with the i.MX RT MCU, including hardware connections,HyperRAM protocol, source code, and performance.
■The SDK used for the example in this application note is SDK_2.3.1_EVKB-IMXRT1050. The development environment is IAR Embedded Workbench®8.22.1 IDE. The hardware environment is the MIMXRT1050-EVKB board. The HyperRAM chip is S27KS0641 from Cypress®.
