■ We, TRELLEBORG CLERMONT-FERRAND SAS, hereby confirm that the electrical conductivity of the above referenced hoses, measured in accordance with the standard EN ISO 8031 : 2020, meet the recommendations from International Electrotechnical Commission and their technical specification on electrostatic hazards in explosive atmospheres IEC/TS 60079-32-1 2013+AMD1:2017, for transfer of liquid chemicals.
■ In the absence of any other regulations, these hoses are suitable for an application in explosive atmosphere in areas 0, 1, 2 and 20, 21, 22 such as defined by the ATEX Directive 1999/92/EC as long as the electric continuity and the appropriate grounding of the hoses' conductive parts are ensured in a permanent way.
■ We remind you that European directive 2014/34 relating to equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, shall only apply to equipment which are capable of causing an explosion through their own potential sources of ignition.
■ Hoses and hose assemblies do not fall into the scope of this directive since they do not have own potential sources of ignition.
■ Due to this, CE branding and ATEX logo branding are forbidden on hoses.
