IEC 101-104 Application Note -OWL User Module

IEC 60870-5-101 is a standard for power system monitoring, control & associated communications for telecontrol,teleprotection, and associated telecommunications for electric power systems. IEC 60870-5-104 protocol is an analogy to IEC 60870-5-101 protocol with the changes in transport, network, link & physical layer services to suit the complete network access: TCP/IP. This user module does a bidirectional conversion between IEC 60870-5-101 and IEC 60870-5-104 protocols specified by the IEC 60870-5 standard. IEC 60870-5-101 serial communication is converted to the IEC 60870-5-104 TCP/IP communication and vice versa. It is possible to configure some parameters of IEC 60870-5-101 and IEC 60870-5-104.
