End of Life for MCE’s VVC-X-XXXX Black Box Drives
■Due to unavoidable circumstances, MCE has been recently notified by our vendors that some of the components used in black box VVC drives will not be available in the future. After carefully examining and reviewing the design, including all the components in question, MCE has decided one last time to buy these components to continue supporting the products in the field. Various models of this drive have been used on MCE’s VVMC-MG & SCR controllers ranging from late 1980’s to late 1990’s. These drives were also used on certain non-MCE controllers as well.
■MCE encourages all customers to review their complete job portfolios to determine their need for spares and/or replacements. Please order appropriate quantities of spare drives as needed. Although we expect our supply of the majority of these models to last at least until 2015, they will only be available while supplies last. MCE will continue to offer repair services for these drives until our supply is depleted.
