Multiplexed and Remappable Functionalities on I/O pins on PIC32M Devices Using MPLAB Harmony v3
■Remappable I/O pins on PIC32M devices offer designers the ability to map selected peripheral functions to specific I/O pins, which allows designers greater flexibility in choosing pin placement on the device. This document describes how to set up remappable I/O pins on PIC32M devices using MPLAB®Harmony v3 Configurator (MHC).
●Overview:
■Most PIC32M devices have a Peripheral Pin Select (PPS) feature where the digital inputs and outputs of many of the peripherals can be mapped to a wide selection of chip I/O pins, providing reconfigurability and flexibility to the user. The PPS feature is facilitated by an on-chip multiplexer structure, which provides the connectivity between the chipI/O pin set and the peripheral functions. The Pin Configuration tabs in the MHC tool enables users to map peripheral functions with I/O pins.
