◆HPD (Hybrid Photo-Detector) is a completely new photomultipliertube that incorporates a semiconductor element in an evacuated electron tube. In HPD operation, photoelectrons emitted from the photocathode are accelerated to directly strike the semiconductor where their numbers are increased. Features offered by the HPD are extremely little fluctuation during the multiplication, high electron resolution,and excellent stability.
