Bourns® Model CG0805MLA-5.5ME and CG0805MLA-18KE Surface Mount ChipGuard® ESD Suppressors to be Discontinued PRODUCT OBSOLESCENCE MEMO

Riverside, California – March 2, 2020 – In accordance with our ongoing product lifecycle management procedure, Bourns is transferring the Model CG0805MLA-5.5ME and CG0805MLA-18KE Surface Mount ChipGuard® ESD Suppressor to an End of Product Life status. A lack of sales volume and diminishing demand necessitates this action.
Regrettably, no replacement product is available at this time. Customers must notify Bourns in writing within 30 days of receipt of this notification if they consider the discontinued product to be “sole sourced” by Bourns. In such cases, Bourns will work with customers to negotiate an appropriate end-of-life purchase for the discontinued product. Products purchased during this End of Product Life transition period will be covered by Bourns' standard warranty. Last Time Buy orders for this model will be considered non-cancellable and non-returnable.
