Creating gain and phase Bode plots based on the frequency response of electrical circuits —both theoretical and measured in the lab—is typically a key part of the electrical engineering(EE) curriculum in undergraduate studies.Many of Keysight Technologies’InfiniiVision X-Series oscilloscopes support automatic Bode plot measurements. Keysight also provides an optional Bode plot training kit (DSOXBODE) to help engineering students learn about frequency response analysis measurements. This training guide begins with background information on Bode plots, and then provides step-by-step instructions on how to perform manual,aswell as automatic Bode plot measurements using a Keysight InfiniiVision X-Series oscilloscope along with the Bode plot training kit. If the Bode plot training kit is not available in your EE teaching lab, you can easily create your own based on three passive devices (resistor, capacitor, and inductor).
