The RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive (2011/65/EC) restricts the use of cadmium,Iead,mercury,hexavalent chromium,polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) in electrical and eiectronic appliances.The purpose of the Directive is to protect human health and the environment,and the reduction of the harmfulness of waste.It also aims to promote the utilisation and final treatment of waste electrical and electronic equipment in a manner protecting the environment.
