The WM7 personnel tag, a part of Redpine’s RTLS system offering, is a locationing device that enables the tracking of the location of a person through any of multiple connectivity technologies including dual-band Wi-Fi, BLE, Low Frequency, and Infrared. It can operate in multiple modes - Cisco CCX in conjunction with Cisco infrastructure, standard Wi-Fi with other locationing infrastructure, or with any third-party infrastructure.The WM7 tag has an employee ID badge form factor is suitable for tracking personnel with multiple methods of attachment and includes motion detection, multi-color LEDs, and two-way communication options. The tag also provides information to the system on battery life, emergency button press, motion detection, chokepoint excitation, and other events. The WM7 tag supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi - making it ideal for new installations where all mission critical communication is carried out exclusively in the 5 GHz band.The WM7 tag works with Redpine’s unique Wi-Fi based Chokepoint Exciter while also being compatible with legacy low frequency based excitation. Its built-in BLE mode enables proximity sensing of assets with a companion mobile phone app, and it provides room-level accuracy options with supporting infrared infrastructure. The WM7 Personnel tag uses a rechargeable battery with a life of up to 3 months between charges based on the mode of operation.
