GR501, GR560 Series Reed Switches Product Discontinuation Notice
●Standex Electronics (UK) Ltd has manufactured a range of 560 & 501 reed switches for more than 40 years.
●In 2008 Standex developed an alternative to the GR (Rhodium) switch using a hybrid Palladium alloy, The GP reed switch was successfully sold until this switch was discontinued in 2017.
●This allowed us to streamline our production lines and focus on improving the quality and efficiency of our process.Since 2017 Standex has made significant process improvements and has now taken the decision to consolidate both the Kent brand 501 & 560 series of reed switches to the Palladium GP501 & GP560.
●The GP range of switches are U/L approved and successfully sold world-wide for 10 years.
●The performance of the GP switch has been extensively tested and is comparable to the GR range as it was previously.
