WAYON Launches AEC-Q100 Automotive Grade 8-bit MCU – WY8A8503
Recently, WAYON officially announced the launch of the WY8A8503, an 8-bit MCU that has passed the AEC-Q100 automotive electronics quality standard certification. This MCU achieves Grade 1 temperature rating, meeting the operating temperature range of -40℃ to 125℃. WY8A8503 also features high reliability and strong anti-interference capabilities, capable of resisting various noise interference. Its excellent EMI characteristics easily help customer products pass the GBT/18655 Class 3 level assessment. Furthermore, WY8A8503 is characterized by its small resource footprint and excellent high-temperature stability, making it very suitable for applications such as automotive doors, windows, lights, sensors, water pumps, and oil pump controllers.
Key Features of WY8A8503
WY8A8503 adopts a TSSOP20 package form, supporting a wide voltage operating range of 2.5V to 5.5V. It has a main frequency of 16MHz, 16KB Flash, and 512B+256B RAM. It integrates two UARTs, one standard SPI, one standard I²C, and enhanced 6-channel PWM and 8-channel 12-bit ADC.
High-Reliability Automotive Grade Quality
WY8A8503 provides hardware guarantees for safe system operation, with excellent electrostatic protection and anti-interference capabilities.
All pins can withstand 7KV ESD (human body mode) contact discharge and easily pass 4.8KV EFT interference tests.
Latch-up (LU) meets the Class I level of JEDEC78E, meeting the stringent application environment requirements of automotive electronics.
Excellent Environmental Consistency Performance
With the implementation of technologies such as key path redundancy design, low temperature drift design of high and low-temperature devices, and IEEE1801 low power consumption design, WY8A8503 not only ensures high reliability but also exhibits excellent consistency in voltage reference, clock accuracy, and power consumption in environments ranging from -40℃ to 125℃, meeting the stability requirements of automotive applications.
General and Convenient Development Environment
WY8A8503 Automotive Grade 8-bit MCU uses an 8051 core compatible with MCS-51, providing good generality and suitability for development environments based on Keil's general IDE, greatly facilitating customer application development.
It supports full series upgrade methods including IAP/ICP/ISP, and has corresponding auxiliary hardware and upper computer GUI to provide convenience for customers' product upgrades in different scenarios.
WAYON provides full technical support from solution design to software and hardware design and debugging. While helping users understand new products, WAYON also offers introductory and advanced materials on developing related peripherals, including software and hardware development environments, accelerating the customer's product development cycle and reducing costs.
