The Protection Application of Self Recovery Fuses in Sweepers
With the rapid development of modern technology, a large number of products can only be integrated into our daily lives, and the broom is one of them. As a smart home product, floor sweepers are not uncommon in first tier cities in China. The working principle of a floor sweeper is not too difficult to understand, mainly relying on the drive of internal small motors to provide power. Due to unstable voltage or jamming during operation, the motor may encounter problems such as rotor blockage, overload, or even burning out. So the internal motor must be designed with corresponding protection circuits to ensure its reliability and stability of operation.
There are many types of protection methods for small motors inside the sweeping machine. Previously, bimetallic temperature controllers were commonly used. When the motor was working, if the coil temperature increased, the circuit would be disconnected, and after the temperature decreased, it would be connected again. However, this method has a drawback, which is that after repeatedly connecting and disconnecting the power supply, the service life of the motor will be greatly reduced. In addition, some unscrupulous manufacturers try to save costs, Using aluminum or copper wires as coil wires, the motor heats up faster during operation, further shortening its service life. So, choosing the most protective material is the top priority. We suggest that you use PPTC as a protective device for small motors.
The PPTC self recovery fuse is very comprehensive in protecting the motor. It has a protective effect on both temperature and current above the set value, and its sensing speed for internal temperature and current changes in the motor is much faster than that of metal temperature controllers.
Once eXCeeding the limit is detected, PPTC will immediately activate the protection function, limiting the current of the motor circuit, in order to achieve the best protection purpose. PPTC will only self recover when the power supply is cut off or the fault is repaired, and continuous power supply will not self recover. This perfectly solves the potential danger of temperature reduction and repeated work burning the motor, while ensuring the accuracy of motor equipment protection.
