Reality AI UART Communication Module Software Integration System
Introduction
This application note explains a UART communication module for Renesas Reality AI using Software
Integration System (SIS).
The UART communication module is a driver interface function layer independent of the MCU and its UART
IP.
Hereinafter, the modules described in this application note is abbreviated as following,
- The UART communication module: COMMS UART SIS module
The detail descriptions include “Overview”, “Features”, “Outline” and “API Information” of this SIS module are
described in application note “Reality AI UART Communication Module Software Integration System
(R01AN6997)”.
Please refer to “Reality AI UART Communication Module Software Integration System (R01AN6997)” for
using this SIS module.

When using this application note with other Renesas MCUs, careful evaluation is recommended after making
modifications to comply with the alternate MCU.
